Founder and CEO Craig Piggott, who grew up on a dairy farm in New Zealand and previously worked at Rocket Lab, has spent nine years refining the hardware—now on its fifth generation—and regularly pushes software updates to improve reliability and functionality. Today the collars are attached to more than a million cattle across 2,000 farms in New Zealand, Australia and the United States, boosting land productivity by up to 20 % and, in some cases, doubling outputs. Here's some GREAT news: the first kākāpō chick in four years hatched on Valentine's Day! Kākāpō are nocturnal, flightless parrots that are endemic to New Zealand and are critically endangered. As a Canadian in #Alberta, this video about #NewZealand and #Australia hits home in terms of different parts/provinces of #Canada with equalization, in the context of being so dependent and integrated with the US, but also with progressive personal taxation. I am in favour of #equalization.
