The quiet of Fláje in winter 🌲❄️
There’s something about a frozen reservoir that makes time feel suspended. The way the snow muffles every sound, how the ice holds the water still - like the world took a deep breath and forgot to exhale. Standing here, it’s easy to believe nothing else exists beyond these trees.
Winter in the Ore Mountains. The crisp air, the untouched snow, the way the forest feels like a secret. One of those places that makes you want to stay longer than you should.

Took two photos, first with my cellphone and then with my new mirrorless camera.
Don't know a lot about photography, just some basics. I a am not good at judging colors and perspectives - but this one is clearly visible.
The second photo, taken with the Nikon camera and automatic white balance, looks way more pale and less saturated. First I have been a bit disappointed, but that place looks like that, so that camera has done a great job even everything set automatic.

A little bit of architecture to enjoy. This is from the interior of the National Pantheon in Lisbon looking up to the dome. Construction of the building - originally a church - was started in the 17th century but only declared finished in 1966 when the dome was added.

Mausoleum K. A striking Neoclassical rotunda, featuring a dome of coffered panels with a central opening (or oculus). Light floods in through this opening, illuminating the above-ground part of the mausoleum.
A wide stone staircase, with an ornate metal railing, following this pathway leads down to the undercroft. The underground area of this mausoleum holds the coffins of the family.
