See this very tiny pill? It's Tennessee's thyroid med. I've been using a pill cutter to cut it into quarters, and Tennessee got one quarter twice/day.
It winds up that's too large a dose, so now the vet would like me to cut the pills into eighths. I don't know if that's even possible; if not, I can do a quarter pill once/day instead of twice.
Anyone have a good trick for cutting a small pill into very small pieces? #AskFedi
EDIT: I know about the transdermal ointment. Sprinkling a ground up pill in his food won't work for various reasons. I'm just really asking if there's a good way to cut the pills I have into tiny pieces. If not, the vet can work with a compounding pharmacy to make pills in the dosage I need. He's good about taking tiny pills.
EDIT #2: No more advice needed. @eniatitova@sfba.social brought up some good points which convinced me to get new pills at the proper dosage from a compounding pharmacy.
