Looking after Miss 8 & her bestie was so easy this morning. Old enough to look after themselves & they did, got themselves washed & dressed. Played hide & seek using a couple of those Labubu 🤷🏼‍♀️dolls. They even put the tv on for me to watch the Lion King on the Disney channel - so different to the one I watched with my daughter when she was little. It was amazing & CGI which I presume it was has really come a long way, I loved it. Then after my daughter came back we all went down the street for Winter clothes for both grandchildren in Kmart. Me - I came home with a new large rug for my lounge room, it’s even 65% wool. I’m happy with it, but now I want to change all my inside pot plant pots to light colours to suit the rug & lighten up the room as it can feel darkish sometimes. So that’s the next job, along with new cushions. Freshen it all up. I also came home with a small stuffed dog, that has almost lost his head & one ear with a “grandma can you please fix it”. #Family

I want to leave both a better #planet for our #legacy be it with a #family or without one in our #name here. As well as leaving a proper pathway for #education to unfold which renews, rather than enforces, each #relationship subsequent legacies have in relation to our unbound potential. I am a #realist and what I see are people not recognizing that #globalism and #nationalism are two halves of the same place that hosts us no matter where we are from. And I #respect that.

OK..news from the “involuntary admin” front.

Infos I had from my partners mother:

“I can do nothing on my laptop any more. There’s always a message ‘no permission’ when I try X or Y. And it said deleting cookies may help so I tried. But something went wrong and I was afraid to continue”

What I saw when I checked the laptop:

  • Firefox icon in task bar and desktop blank
  • Chrome icon in task bar and desktop blank
  • Virus scanner icon in task bar and desktop blank
  • All 3 programs didn’t start although OS said they are installed

What they saw in my face:

“How the bloody hell….. wtf.. ??”

It took me 50 minutes to reinstall the 3 programs on her 2 core 4GB Win8.1 machine while the 5400rpm HDD swapped for its life. And another 20 minutes to make her Gmail account accessible again without her remembering the password and not having a recovery mail set.

You know.. Time is my most precious resource. And just because someone doesn’t care about how long a laptop needs to start a webbrowser because he/she can do the dishes in the meantime and therefore don’t wants to buy new hardware doesn’t mean that I feel the same while fixing other peoples problems.

So..to all customers of FamilyAdmin Inc. who might read this:

From this moment on my willingness to help you out depends on your hardware.

= 16cores 64GB RAM: buy me a coffee < 4 cores 8GB RAM: you better sell your house to compensate my pain

Good morning. ⛹️‍♀️🏀🍿 2 March 2026 I’ve been off the net for a couple of days. My wife and I drove up to Monticello, Arkansas, to watch our granddaughter play basketball. She’s with the Ouachita Baptist University Tigers, and they were up against the University of Arkansas at Monticello Cotton Blossoms. It was a good game—tight enough to stay interesting—and the Tigers pulled out the win, which means they’re headed to the upcoming tournament. The best part was the time with my daughter and granddaughter. My hearing isn’t what it used to be, and the mix of crowd noise, the band, and the cheer squad made conversation nearly impossible. When all that sound hits at once, my brain works overtime trying to sort it out, and it gets close to overwhelming. Still, just sitting with them made the whole trip worthwhile. In a few minutes I need to check on Charlie. He’s in the slammer, and I need to get over there to bail him out when they open this morning. I think they open at 0730, so I’ll call to see if he’s ready. They have to trim his nails and give him a bath before I pick him up, so it’s always smart to check ahead. If you don’t already know, Charlie is my dog—a border collie—and I call the veterinarian’s office “the slammer” when I board him there.
