Around 8,000 people were stationed at the base in Bahrain before the U.S. attacked Iran on Feb. 28....Sailors have been arriving in Norfolk, Va., home to the world's biggest naval base, since at least the middle of March. Bahraini authorities returned the body of Mohammad Al-Mousawi on 27 March, days after detaining and allegedly torturing him to death for opposing the US-Israeli war on Iran. A video showed his corpse with visible signs of torture. Mousawi, who had previously spent 12 years in prison, was re-arrested shortly before his death. Al-Wefaq condemned the killing, accusing the regime of framing citizens and committing crimes against humanity.
