Earlier today, the IRGC Aerospace Force reported the successful interception of two MQ-9 Reaper drones (US/Israeli origin) over Shiraz in Fars Province. However, after wreckage images were posted online, users identified the downed aircraft as a Wing Loong II, not an MQ-9. The Wing Loong II, a MALE UCAV, is the workhorse of the Emirati and Saudi drone fleets. Its silhouette is nearly identical to the MQ-9. This marks the first irreversible hard signal of direct Gulf state attacks on Iran.
