Dah beres pindah ke #s3 buat backend storage instance #gotosocial ini. Buat sementara, media masih di-proxy sama GTS. Memang gak efisien karena harus bolak-balik lewat GTS dulu sebelum ke S3, padahal beda datacenter. Tapi biarlah, nunggu mood dulu buat config #reverseproxy yang di datacenter sana.

#s3 #misskey ini dah sukses pindah dari #wasabi ke infra internal. Dulu pakai wasabi di awal karena dikira bakal boros pemakaiannya kayak #mastodon yang "remote media" pasti dia "cache". Makanya pakai eksternal (wasabi) biar gak habis kapasitas s3 in-house. Berhubung ternyata pemakaian s3 di misskey ini kecil karena remote media tidak diaktifkan cache-nya, jadi diputuskan untuk pindah saja ke infrastruktur s3 in-house.

Expanding our #S3:

  • #seaweedfs: 3 masters, 3 filers and 6 volume servers across 2 zones (datacenters)
  • #garage: 2 different clusters, one of that consists of 6 nodes across 3 zones, the other is just 3 nodes in single zone.

But we still use S3 from cloud providers (mostly for archiving), because those are more flexible and cheaper on #capex.
