Tool calling quality is noisy in a way LLM text generation isn't. The difference between "works" and "explodes" is tiny, and traditional benchmarks miss it. We need tool-specific evaluation frameworks. JD.com has unveiled a comprehensive AI update spanning open-source models, digital humans, and embodied intelligence. The company released its first open-source model, JoyAI-LLM Flash, targeting coding and AI agent applications while integrating with the OpenClaw framework. Token usage for JD Cloud's AI agent products has jumped 455% week-over-week. Digital human livestreaming has grown to over 70,000 merchants after the company made the technology free for merchants in late 2024. Am I a hacker!? $0.57 for FREE! And it only cost me $100 in subscription + extra usage fees. I'll have something interesting to show for this soon. I've been working on an OpenClaw alternative. It's like OpenClaw but with elastic bands around the pinchers. It's based on the principles of reversibility, audibility, and accountability (RAA?). The AI can't do any irreversible actions, it logs everything it does do in concise human readable format, but the human is empowered to instigate informed reversible actions. #OpenClaw #Claude

Still playing with #OpenClaw. My PA is now summarizing the annoying WhatsApp groups for me and proposing calendar entries where needed. I can recommend running this on an isolated VPS (I use @hetzner@mastodon.hetzner.social). When it comes to models, I still haven't found a better balance than X.ai Grok 4.1 Fast. Not ready to spend 120 euros / month for stock monitoring and WhatsApp help. With little interaction I'm running at about 75M tokens a week! Happy to hear if others have better ideas when it comes to models.
