Days Gone ukończone - niedługo wrzucę podsumowanie na bloga. 🙂 Tymczasem pora na nowy tytuł do ogrania. 🙂 Pytanie do fanów Half-Life: czy zastanawialiście się, co by było gdyby w 2004 roku Axel Gembe nie wykradł bety HL2 i Valve poszłoby właśnie w tę stronę? Zapewne się zastanawialiście, bo beta HL2 to kawał ciekawego materiału, koncepcji i pomysłów, które - czasem nawet bardzo - różnią się od finalnej wersji gry. Wiadomo jak to jest z niewykorzystanymi konceptami: jedne były kiepskie, a inne były lepsze, niż finalna wersja (dla mnie np. "ludzkie" wojsko służące Kombinatowi, które jednak zbuntowało się). O procesie tworzenia HL2 traktuje też album "Raising the Bar", który swego czasu (20 lat temu) hulał po sieci w formie średnio legalnych skanów (i całkiem dobrej jakości, jak na tamte lata). Raising the Bar: Redux to darmowa modyfikacja, której twórcy postarali się o odtworzenie Half-Life 2 w formie takiej, jaką ukazywały pierwsze pomysły i ta nieszczęsna, wykradziona beta. Tajemniczy Konsul zamiast pyszałkowatego dr Breena i zanieczyszczone, przemysłowe miasto pod wodzą Kombinatu, którego mieszkańcy (w tym dzieci) muszą ciężko pracować w fabrykach, zamiast obijać się czekając na wywózkę do Nova Prospekt. Dla oldschoolowych fanów serii HL ten mod będzie prawdziwą gratką, szczególnie, że grafika i projekt poziomów zostały celowo postarzone i utrzymane właśnie w wizualnym stylu bety. No i mamy tutaj mnóstwo do ogrania, a nie trzy mapy na krzyż. 🙂 #giereczokwo #giereczki #gry #gaming #retro #HalfLife

The view from "the bridge" on Sunday lunchtime, for a birthday party out near Holmfirth. Can't remember what's on the console but from the time the pic was taken it was probably 70s disco. Aching from all the load in/out over the weekend but well worth it.
