Funny how now with active speakers just a simple old #RaspberryPi with #raspotify makes room full of music. Temporary, but still. Waiting for the streamer pre-amp. The black small box on the shelf.

Today I'm paying with Risc OS on an old Raspberry Pi. I wish modern desktops had paper like textured windows, a common title bar theme, and proper scroll bars. Everything's so plain and bland nowadays. /Rant #riscos #raspberrypi #retro #desktop

#Tumbleweed boots on #RaspberryPi 5! Thanks to U-Boot, kernel updates, and the RP1 driver, core features like Ethernet, #WiFi, USB, and #HDMI are working. A major step forward for #openSUSE on #ARM. https://news.opensuse.org/2025/11/04/raspberrypi5-opensuse/

Trying to decide whether to get a #RaspberryPi or a budget mini pc as a home backup server, AdGuard DNS and home network firewall. Some Pi setups are as expensive as budget mini PCs and all I'd have to do would be replace Windows with Linux on those. I've run out of broken and old computers at home for this purpose as my last old laptop's screen broke and now has hard drive failure😁. Ideas/Input? Thanks. #repost #technology #homenetworking

New project added to my regular donation list: pi-hole. Extremely useful and reliable DNS sinkhole running as a Docker container on #raspberrypi for 1+ month now. It filters ads and trackers (custom black list) across all devices in the network without installing any client-side software. Awesome open-source project 🩵 🔗 https://pi-hole.net #foss #opensource #donation #pihole

Well the laptop has arrived, nicely boxed and in one piece. At the moment she's resting in the corner warming up before first use. According to SWMBO I'm grinning like the proverbial Cheshire cat. #ArgonForty #RaspberryPi

My excitement is palpable today. I woke to find an email confirming that DPD will be delivering a new laptop this afternoon. New laptops are not a novel thing, for many they are commodity items. What makes this one special and exciting for me is that it is one I "ordered" back in September '25 when I backed #Argon40, along with 978 others, to manufacture and deliver their Argon ONE UP on Kickstarter. The laptop is built around a RaspberryPi Compute Module 5, 8GB RAM and a 256GB NVME drive. #RaspberryPi #ARM #Kickstarter

Uniquiti Edgerouter X SFP. Der kostet mich 78€. Kein Gefrickel. 5 Ethernetports und sogar noch einen SFP Port.
