What were the biggest #crowdfund flops you’ve ever backed? I backed these duds:
iControlPad 2 – The open source controller – $87 down the drain. Despite the promises, it doesn’t look like any of the backers received a refund.
Paradise Lost: First Contact (a game) – the campaign launched in 2013, and the game was supposed to be released in December 2014. Until 2022, all we got were animated updates showing how the work was progressing.

I ordered the new #Pebble Time 2 months ago and that is due to arrive next month, but have just dug out my old original 2013 Pebbles to see if they still work. Looks like they power up at least. There was a fault on my original #Kickstarter watch which is why I have the second one.
Be interesting to see if either is usable once it's had time to charge.

My excitement is palpable today. I woke to find an email confirming that DPD will be delivering a new laptop this afternoon.
New laptops are not a novel thing, for many they are commodity items.
What makes this one special and exciting for me is that it is one I "ordered" back in September '25 when I backed #Argon40, along with 978 others, to manufacture and deliver their Argon ONE UP on Kickstarter.
The laptop is built around a RaspberryPi Compute Module 5, 8GB RAM and a 256GB NVME drive.
