More breathless, but vague praise for #Mythos. Now #mozilla's CTO has come out with a detail-free, hyperbole-laden blog post. I can't get anything below the surface level on this blog post. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. The blog post itself contains no links or references (except a link to a prior blog post)The Firefox 150 release notes has zero mentions of #Claude, #Anthropic, or Mythos.The security advisories in Firefox 150 lists 41 bugsAnthropic is credited exactly 3 times.The blog post says This week’s release of Firefox 150 includes fixes for 271 vulnerabilities identified during this initial evaluationit is not clear why the blog says 271, the release lists 41 issues, and only 3 acknowledge AnthropicI've tried looking on Mozilla's bugzilla and I have no access to any bug that is named in those release notes. I can't even see the conversation, much less the code change. How is someone supposed to put this blog post's claims into context?

Search Assist ‘Claude cannot produce unknown logic; it generates responses based on patterns learned from existing data. It may create plausible-sounding information, but this is not true logic or reasoning.’ So Ai or Automated ℹ️ as I now prefer to call it cannot transcend being the control of information processing. It’s intelligent, emotional and adaptive quotient is not even a red herring, just a mimic for those who want to protect their corporate hydra. Google just rolled out its Gemini assistant for Mac (already on iOS), giving the AI a native desktop chatbot experience, coming a year after rivals like ChatGPT and Claude made their moves. The app launches via Option+Space and offers screen-sharing, Drive and Photos file access, and Nano Banana image and Veo video generation. The #Gemini app trails in agentic abilities, remaining a chat-first assistant, while #Claude and #ChatGPT can directly execute tasks on users' machines. What's so annoying about computer-assisted development using Claude and co.? That its context is so limited that each session it has to go over and read files over and over. It loses details such as we keep only thumbnails, not full images. It is not on par with junior dev, because junior dev would remember that if an icon is used once, it ios used always and not leave three files with different layouts. etc. etc. #ai #coding #llm #development #webdev #claude #gemini #codex #copilot #tools
