@pheonix@hachyderm.io I think the #Enshittification of the #Web needs to be pushed back hard. As in: If it can't use that #Website with @torproject@mastodon.social / #TorBrowser over an #Iridium connection @2400bit/s it should be illegal to put it online! Kind of harsh, IK. I'm so sick of the Enshittification that it makes me more and more "militant" in terms of #Privacy, #DataProtection, #ConsumerRights & #UserRights. This mistreatment reminds me of the Gaming Industry excl. #Valve

Möchte meine veraltete Webseite endlich smartphonefähig haben. Und ich will es selbst machen. Aber nicht im Onlinebaukasten... Ich kann kein HTML, bzw nur wahnsinnig rudimentär. Gibt es irgendwo freie Basisvorlagen, die man aber verändern kann. Möchte NICHT online erstellen! Sondern offline und dann selbst per FTP hochladen . Nutze seit kurzem Ubuntu. Wenn's mal steht, kann ich natürlich im html-editor selbst aktualisieren ;) Ich präferiere einen Aufbau ohne Datenmüll. Oder kann man sich trauen KI zu bemühen (aber die klaut dann fremdes Eigentum?...), wie? Sorry die etwas doofen Fragen. Jüngere schütteln das vermutlich aus dem Ärmel. Habe die Webseite unserer Mastodon Instanz burningboard.net, auf der es viele nützliche Informationen zu Mastodon und dem Fediverse gibt, mal ein wenig überarbeitet:

  • Neuere Bootstrap Version
  • Optionaler Dark-Mode
  • Allgemein den Code optimiert und konsistenter gemacht

I’m #colorblind and I use https://xkcd.com/color/rgb/ frequently.

Randall ‘xkcd’ Monroe did a survey of over 100,000 readers where he showed them random rgb colors and said “what would you call this?” and afterwards he did his best to sort the results into the most popular color names and the colors they refer to.

It’s like a box of Crayola for the internet. Finally, my colorblind self can grab a sample of “dark magenta” that doesn’t just look like “grape purple” to everyone else.

The data is freely available as a .txt file under CC0, which I’ve converted into a .css file here: https://git.hatspace.net/nycki/nycki.net/src/branch/main/static/xkcd.css

so now when I want a color on my website I can just write color: var(--xkcd-off-white) or so on. it’s really convenient :)
