My amaryllis just bloomed. I've had it for 4 yrs now & this is only the 2nd yr it's bloomed. This variety is commonly called butterfly amaryllis and I just love the color/feathering 👍.

I've suddenly found a whole new kingdom of life to obsess about growing.
I've now got an absurd collection of #mushroom cultivation supplies coming from Amazon.
All because a fungus added itself to my little mound planting, colonizing the whole hill from top to bottom all the way around, is loving life, and is clearly not bothering the plants one bit.
So I'll pasteurize the soil and bark for the next mound and stuff in a bunch of spawn for oysters or shiitake or both and hopefully they can persist for a few years and be coaxed into fruiting with sufficient watering and appropriate temperatures. every so often.
