The authorities in Paktika province have announced the construction of a center for the treatment of malnourished children in the Khwarizak district. The center, which cost 12.5 million Afghanis, has six treatment rooms. In addition to the Khwarizak district, the clinic will provide treatment for malnourished children from four neighboring districts. UNICEF has announced that it will increase and expedite assistance to families displaced due to attacks by the military regime. UNICEF’s representative made this commitment during a meeting at the Ministry of Economy in Kabul, which was organized to solicit aid for families displaced by attacks from the Pakistani military regime. The meeting, initiated by the Ministry of Economy, involved representatives from the United Nations, national and international organizations, to discuss ways to support families displaced due to attacks by the military regime. UNICEF representative Dr. Tajuddin pledged assistance and also stated that Kabul and Islamabad should pave the way for peace. Discussions were held in Zabul between UNICEF and the Department of Youth Affairs regarding the expansion of cooperation. The meeting emphasized youth development, public awareness, maternal and child health, and increasing access to online education. Work has begun on the construction of two clean water supply networks in the Dand district of Kandahar.
