Athletes from eight countries will begin a national wrestling competition in Kabul tomorrow. Officials from the sports administration told Radio Harat that the athletes from the participating countries have arrived in Kabul and are preparing for the competition. According to the administration, 160 domestic and foreign athletes will participate in the three-day competition. The competition will feature wrestlers from Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey. Full preparations have been made for the start of the competition. Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned that a growing alliance between Israel, Greece, and Cyprus has clear military aspects and is causing concern among Turkey and other Muslim countries. A report by the “No Harbour for Genocide” campaign reveals that Greek shipping companies secretly transported large quantities of oil, coal, and military supplies to Israel. Between May 2024 and December 2025, at least 57 covert oil shipments, totalling around 47 million barrels, were delivered via Turkey, using disabled tracking systems and false destinations, in violation of Turkey’s trade embargo. Additionally, in 2025, Greek-managed ships carried at least 13 shipments of military materials, including ammunition and weapons components linked to Israel’s arms industry. The head of the National Disaster Management Authority, Mullah Nooruddin Tarabi, held a meeting in Kabul with the Turkish Ambassador, Sadin Eldız, and a delegation, where they discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, the head of the agency requested Turkish charitable foundations to increase their assistance during the occurrence of natural disasters in Afghanistan. He emphasized the importance of direct relations with the Turkish Disaster Management Agency, stating that sharing experiences between the foundations of both countries is effective in disaster management. Sadin Eldız also assured continued assistance to the Afghan people and said that Turkey is cooperating with Afghanistan in technical and humanitarian areas, alongside trade relations.
