Today's #Firefox Nightly makes the profile backup feature available by default. The profile backup feature, when enabled, will take a snapshot of your profile and pack it into a single file that you can restore from on the same or a different machine. You can choose to encrypt the backup with a passphrase. In a recent #Firefox Nightly, visit about:settings#sync and scroll down to the Backup section to manage it.

@SynAck@corteximplant.com most people I know still keep a #Netbook for that reason. They are small, efficient and can still run some minimalist #Linux and #sync away notes via #git or #rsync over #ssh

So I have a habit of running the latest versions of #ChromeCanary and #FirefoxNightly just because I don't want to fall behind on #SecurityUpdates, to test for #compatibility and other issues and to sstay ahead of any #vulnerabilities in my #browser because I store a lot of #passwords locally in my profiles among other information that I don't #sync online. Well, lately, every time the browser updates, I keep having to #SignIn to different services like #ChatGPT #Google for #GMail and #Microsoft #Outlook etc. Nothing changed in my #configuration and I didn't install any #extensions that I know of which would do this. Ever since #Windows #11 version #29550 came out, this has been a frequent occurrence. Coincidence?

Should OneDrive on Ubuntu be used through GNOME Online Accounts or "OneDrive Client for Linux"? #nautilus #sync #onlineaccounts #microsoft #onlinestorage https://askubuntu.com/q/1564355/612
