Okay. Streets need labelling. Plus a few other things. But I think this is a decent first real draft. It did not fit like a glove. But I think it _looks_ like it fit like a glove - I honestly keep forgetting where the western boundary is and am kinda proud of that - and that's what matters for usability. Also made a few clarifying edits on City of Seattle again. #Apple erased in their #maps all the cities, villages, and names in southern #Lebanon… What do you call it when you digitally erase a population group from an area to make that area empty or homogeneous, or the deliberate attempt to make a national, ethnic, or religious group wholly or partially disappear from the map?” [update] No response from Apple yet, it’s unclear if, since, why, when this has been the case. Fascynuje mnie to, jak ludzie często podważają przeróżne opinie urzędu, na podstawie tego, że oni sami lepiej coś sprawdzili w Mapach Google. – Nie, tam tego adresu nie ma. Jest tam ulica Waligóry, no przecież widzę to na mapie. – Na jakiej mapie? – No Google. – Jak to nie ma dostępu do drogi?! Niech pan wpisze nawigację do tego miejsca no. Zobaczy pan. Pokaże. – Przepraszam Pana, ale nie mogę znaleźć takiej ulicy na mapie, możne Pan zweryfikować to na portalu mapowym gminy? – No tak, jak zawsze, urzędnicy pracują na nieaktualnych mapach. W Googlu sobie pan to znajdzie. #google #maps #deGoogle #googlemaps #bigtech

Last September I started a thread on Viking 1 which began with the Viking site selection process. Here we will pick up the story for Viking 2. Viking sites were chosen initially using Mariner 9 images and elevation data, and the final stage of that process produced these two sites for Viking 2, a prime site (B1) and a backup (B2). B1 is Cydonia and its most famous inhabitant lives in those hills (Cydonia Colles). B2 is a low volcanic rise now called Alba Mons. #mars #maps #viking2

...okay it's a 5° climb for 0.3 miles but why is the lowest-traffic way out of downtown Kirkland which takes you east _over_ 405 _not_ on the Eastside 2 Line Connector map? It's even painted as sharrowed guess I've got my first addition for maps 2.0.9 #maps #GreaterNorthshore #megamap #BikeTooter

Gonna drop a new bike map rev, but it's all just more caution/construction warning updates. The Burke-Gilman 5-day closure in Kenmore, NE 125th in Lake City getting all that work done (and it's gonna be great but right now it's, uh, yeah), and Kirkland's sewer problems just continue. On the plus side, NE 124th also in Kirkland properly wrapped up, so it loses its warning, and the closure of Eastrail near the Seahawks practice facility is also long over. Gonna see if there are any surprises in the Friday round of construction updates, and if there's something to incorporate I will. I really thought Kenmore would be done with 61st Ave NE by now. Kennt ihr eine gute Alternative zu #Maps ? Benutze es relativ selten, ab und zu zum gucken wie lange ich für eine Strecke mit dem Auto brauche. Zum Navigieren benutz ichs aber nur fürs Fahrrad und ab und zu zu Fuß. Gibts da was kostenloses? #digitalesouveränität #di_day #unplugbigtech
