Badakhshi, an operational planner who reportedly fled Afghanistan in October 2025, was allegedly involved in planning the February 11, 2025 attack on a Kabul Bank branch in Kunduz. In the same report, Al-Mersaad for the first time explicitly claimed that Taliban have conducted operations against ISKP inside Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. They alleged that recent strikes in Tirah (Tor Dara) and Orakzai killed nearly 20 ISKP militants, including senior figures such as Haji Rahman (Abu Nasir) and Mullah Farooqi, indicating that the Taliban are pursuing ISKP even on the other side of the Durand Line.
