#Transport for #London Freedom of Information release: #TfL has published a response to a Freedom of Information request on London Service Permit (LSP) applications. The request sought details for the most recent 12-month period on the number of LSP applications, the use of #heritage vehicles, any associated PSVAR exemption requests, and whether any applications were refused. TfL confirmed it received 45 applications covering new services and permit renewals. None of the applications involved heritage vehicles and, as a result, no PSVAR exemption requests were submitted. TfL also confirmed that no LSP applications were refused or declined during the period. The Restoration and Renewal (R&R) Client Board has published costed proposals for restoring the #UK Palace of #Westminster. Phase one works over seven years, capped at £3bn, include temporary Chambers, Victoria Tower refurbishment, Cloister Court restoration, underground construction, a river jetty, and off-site #heritage storage. Long-term delivery options are narrowed to two: Full Decant, with both Houses moving out, and Enhanced Maintenance and Improvement+ (EMI+), where the Lords decant and Commons remain temporarily. Alternatives, including continued presence and EMI, were discounted due to higher costs, longer duration, safety and heritage risks.
