23/04/2026: News from several folk on the Bluesky platform, including @westcountrytim@mastodonapp.uk, that the cycle journey counters on the London's cycleways C3 Victoria Embankment and C6 Blackfriars Road were restarted this week. #Transport for #London Freedom of Information release: #TfL has responded to a Freedom of Information request about upcoming Customer Service Assistant (CSA) recruitment. The request, submitted on 11 April 2026, asked when CSA and CSA Night Tube roles would open and when applications would begin. TfL stated that the next London Underground CSA recruitment round is expected to be advertised by November 2026. This is likely to focus on CSA2 full-time roles, although this may change depending on operational needs, with CSA1 full-time roles a possible alternative. Recruitment for CSA1 Night Tube roles is not expected to take place this year and may not be required for some time, based on current workforce forecasts. #Transport for #London Freedom of Information release: #TfL has published a cost breakdown for the Gallows Corner project following an FOI request. 🚶🛍️🏗️ The Mayor of #London, Sadiq Khan, has confirmed plans to pedestrianise Oxford Street between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street by the end of the summer, following a second public consultation that drew more than 2,700 responses. #TfL will begin work to remove traffic from the stretch, with access maintained for emergency and overnight servicing vehicles. Initial design principles include more trees and planting, improved lighting, seating and signage, and space for cultural, sporting and seasonal events from this year. In response to a Freedom of Information request, TfL said the youngest train operator currently in post is aged 23. The authority also stated it does not record applicants’ dates of birth at the application stage, meaning it cannot say whether any 18 or 19-year-olds have applied for driver roles. It's not totally clear, but it seems you have to sign up to see the pollution data, but signing up involves putting a sensor on your bike, and they don't accept just anyone; they want geographic dispersion.
