I've just washed my e-bike and given it a good looking over for wear or damage. Everything seems fine but, as I've never had an e-bike before, I thought I should check the user handbook to see if they recommend any specific checks or maintenance. I now know that I have RIM WEAR INDICATORS! Woo! What wizardry is this?! I've just checked my cheapy Decathlon folder and that has them too. My Raleigh Amazon doesn't, so this technology must've come in some time in the last 40 years. You look away for 10 minutes and BAM! everything has changed. I'd actually thought that the Decathlon bike just had really soft rims. 😄 #Cycling #Bike

Fahrradgewinde nach DIN 79012, Metrisches Gewinde nach DIN 13-1, Nenn-Ø, Außen-Ø, Kern-Ø, Steigung, FG 9,5, ⅜", M10 ??? Ich will doch nur eine einfache Hutmutter für mein Fahrrad, ohne gleich eine Mechanikerausbildung zu machen. 65k subscriber #bike shop posts fake video on how to change a bike tube. The video is the #5 video for "change bike tube" in the YouTube search as of this writing. This kind of misinformation is disgusting, especially when we desperately need literal billions of people to start biking to mitigate #climate change. Classic bike bro elitism that sours me on an entire mode of transport. This attitude is disturbingly common. Hi #Canada #bike riders. Looking for a #Canadian tracking device for your ride? I have a couple of the Bikebac Tracker which uses the Android Find Hub. Based out of #WhistlerBC this is a newish product. There are Apple and Android versions. The Apple version came first. I miss this #bike. It got recalled with the frame issues from babboe which Raleigh rebadged. It was an absolute tank and turned heads. Once or twice we had it full of #coffee for delivery if you include the run to the post office. This is in #Nottingham in front of the Robin Hood statute and we took it to #Sheffield when we moved. The recall was in place by then though but took them over a year to collect it.

Today's #gratitude is for my #bike allowing me to do errands in the city faster, cheaper and way more fun than errands should ever be. Easy and free parking, no traffic, enjoying the sun and wind. Zero emissions, no petrol price to worry about. In and out of every shop/office in less than half of the time it takes to find a car park. Ich habe soeben die aktuelle Version der #Openfietsmap vom 07. März in #BaseCamp und auf meinem #Garmin Oregon 650 installiert 🗺️ 🚲 😀 Auch wenn ich in Zukunft nach Möglichkeit alle Tools und Programme auf nur einem (1!) Device - meinem #Google #Pixel 7 Pro - nutzen möchte, genügt es mir doch völlig, ein Gerät auf Tour mitzunehmen und vorher dessen Ladezustand zu kontrollieren – so ist die Aktualisierung des Oregon 650 sicherlich nicht verkehrt. 😄 Zudem bin ich, nachdem mir das letzte #QMapShack - Update alle (!) meine gespeicherten Touren gelöscht hat, wieder zu BaseCamp gewechselt. Vienna reclaims street space by ending free parking and turning parking spots into shade, trees and Dutch-style cycling. I'm beginning to have some concerns about #MerseyRail's secure #bike storage. My local station's storage hasn't worked (electric fault, apparently) for as long as I've had my fob. I've just cycled to the next station along and got locked inside the shed! 😬 Luckily there's an emergency exit. The next station in the other direction doesn't have the little lockable baskets to leave your helmet etc safely. Such a good idea in theory but with a few snags in practice. #Cycling
