I hate public IPv4 blocklists like spamhaus.org. False positives can be very annoying, especially for non-technical people with dynamic IPv4. And to remove the block you have to give personal information, what a nightmare >< #spam #blocklist

Der Tag hatte noch gar nicht richtig angefangen, da bekam ich über alle meine Mail-Accounts die Nachricht, das meine iCloud gesperrt ist weil Zahlungen über meine Kreditkarte ausstehen und gleichzeitig versucht mich Kash Partell verzweifelt zu erreichen um mir zwei Millionen Dollar zu überweisen. #scam #spam

My cache all email got some spam/phishing email with the link url being a github.io url. I am wondering if something scraped my Mastodon instance and misidentified the account, which doesn't have an email account created, as an email address. Okay I'm gonna call these fucks out You SHOULD donate to politicians with politics you like. Do it early when the money matters the most. I do. You should NEVER do so with a real email address unless you want a FUCKING ENDLESS FIREHOSE of shitmail. They're required to have an unsubscribe link, but still it's a forever war of unsubscribing, Hence, use a junk address. Despite using a junk address, I unsubscribe from lists that find it all the time. Legally, it's supposed to be click-and-done. Usually, it's at least one extra click, often more. THESE FUCKERS send you to a page that doesn't UNsubscribe you, but instead SUBSCRIBES YOU TO EVERY LIST THEY HAVE and DARK PATTERN YOU TO CLICK OKAY. FUCK THESE GUYS HOLY SHIT I am so mad. #spam

Thought that I'd do the Introduction to Linux course on #edX as I am sure that there are loads of things that I don't know and really should. I'm not fussed about getting a certificate, so I just wanted to audit the course (the term edX have for following the lessons, but not getting the tests or other additional services). What I didn't know was that if you don't pay not only do you get an avert to pay on every single page that reappears even if you close them, but also every page that you're not getting (because you're not paying) is replaced with another advert (along with the original advert) and then every 5th page or so you get another pop up advert. This isn't what I would call reasonable. It almost makes the course impossible to do, especially if like me, you really, really, really hate f#(king adverts! So I'm going to complete the course and I really hope that that they ask me for feedback so that I can tell them that they are a bunch of spamming ar$eholes. #spam #linux
