@alsternerd@akkoma.alster.space @BjoernBeck@amt.social Eben, deshalb habe ich ja jetzt auch ein #SailfishOS Gerät. Da laufen Android-Apps via Container. Aber nativ gibt es z.B. keine Onlinebanking-Apps (und #NewPipe dafür ist auch noch in recht frühem Stadium).

Upgraded my Sailfish phone from Fairphone 4 to 5. WOW, what an speed improvement! And I just love the screen. @theprivacydad@social.linux.pizza That's precisely what I'm doing on my #Fairphone #FP5, running their stock OS. I previously had the degoogled /e/OS, and before that, #SailfishOS. Things work better now, with no Google apps, and even without a Google account. I use #FDroid and #Aurora stores to get apps. In some cases I have needed to use #Shizuku to forcibly disable things.

@davemosk@mastodon.nz Disappointingly Steve Rose does not mention Mastodon in the social networking section. Would also add ditching the Amazon Kindle for a Kobo ereader is a good choice. Jolla phones with the #SailfishOS is a good iPhone/Android substitute.

Sweet! Just got myself a small external foldable Bluetooth keyboard for my Jolla C2 phone with support for the Nordic letters Æ, Ø and Å from Voxicon. WOW - It works really well and real handy when a computer is not with me… #SailfishOS #LinuxMobile
