Two Italian anarchists killed in alleged bomb-making accident
Sandro Mercogliano and Sara Ardizzone were both veterans of the movement and previously targeted by the state

‚Two Italian anarchists, Alessandro Mercogliano (Sandro) and Sara Ardizzone, died on Friday in an explosion on the outskirts of Rome. According to authorities, they were preparing explosives in a cottage in the Acquedotti park area.
Both Mercogliano and Ardizzone were veterans of the anarchist movement in Italy. Mercogliano was arrested in 2016 and accused of association with the fabricated “Informal Anarchist Federation”. Upon his arrival in Ferrara prison, he refused to provide fingerprints or have his photograph taken, and was sentenced to 15 days in solitary confinement. Sentenced to five years, he was acquitted on appeal in 2020….‘
