The #House voted 214 to 213 against bringing the #WarPowers resolution to the floor, handing Republican leaders a procedural “victory” & preserving the broad discretion they have ceded to #Trump to direct the #US #military campaign in the #MiddleEast. The 1 vote margin signaled continuing unease in #Congress as the #war nears its 8th week with no endgame, & the approach of the #midterms in which high #gas #prices threaten to sour voters on #Republicans fighting to keep their majorities. #law

Donald can immediately declare himself "fit" and return to office. Congress would then need to go through another process to remove him permanently. Dementia does not get better. Donald will only get worse-- even worse than he is today-- and continually degrade on a constant basis. Stop thinking of this as a static & permanent situation. Frontaltemporal Dementia is an increasingly progressive condition. I've seen four relatives go through Dementia. Donald has it. He's had it since at least 2017, and it's now advanced. The bruises on his hands are from monthly IV meds. His naps on camera & in courtrooms, nighttime online activity, and paraphasia are only some of his undeniable symptoms. We can no longer treat this administration as a long-term situation. He will not live to see 2028, but Vance will not be much of an improvement. He invariably dances to the tune of the extreme MAGA-bro cult base. Impeaching Vance for allowing a Dementia-addled lunatic to go to war, along with the orange lunatic himself, will be easy by next January-- if we can get a Democratic Congress in power. Then the Democrat Speaker of the House would become POTUS. Trump has 251 days left until the #midterms. Last night he had the best chance of the year to address the nation with his State of the Union Address and present the reason people should vote for him. Instead he vowed to continue his unpopular tariffs, in spite of them being struck down by The Supreme Court. He acted like killing sailors in the Caribbean was a good thing, and he pretended that all that had gone wrong in Minneapolis was them accepting Somali immigrants. He will lose in November.

Meine Sorge ist, dass #Trump aus Angst vor einer Wahlniederlage bei den #Midterms schon jetzt gegen die Glaubwürdigkeit der #Wahlen vorgeht & versuchen wird, sie zu fälschen. Er sprach auch selbst bereits vor seiner Furcht vor einem #Impeachment & folgenden, juristischen Verfahren & meinte ggü. #Reuters, „wir sollten eigentlich gar keine Wahl haben.“ (!) So I’m thinking that when the midterms come around that for some reason my voter registration will come into question. I’m registered as an independent voter. Trump doesn’t like independence. Unless it is him. I will check verify my identity,what ever it takes to remove and vote out all fascist! #midterms #elections #fascist
