Oder besser Meshcore? Das wäre ggf. noch eine Frage die zuerst zu klären wäre, also ob man #Mesttastic oder #Meshcore kennenlernen will? Finde die Idee cool #OffGrid zu kommunizieren.

#meshcore sounds pretty cool. I just see no repeaters in the mountains here 😕 Should I buy a device just for fun and testing? 🤔 There seem to be no repeaters between #badtölz and #inntal / #innsbruck. I doubt it will this is helpful in the #karwendel

@fasnix@fe.disroot.org Problem ist dass solche Technik nur dort geht wo der #Staat diese nicht aktiv bekämpft, weil sonst brauchts nur Schlägertrupps wie Basjij oder Armee mit nem #RTLSDR welche dann Geräte suchen um diese zu stehlen und die Besitzer zu knasten. Wenns so einfach wäre, würden Medien wie #RimjinGang kein #SneakerNet betreiben, bzw. gäb' es nicht #Toosheh…Denn Lösungen wie #Meshtastic / #MeshCore / #Freifunk … haben 0 Maßnahmen gegen "Elektronische Kampfführung"

TL;DR if you want to use #MeshCore, get it from https://meshcore.io going forward. See https://blog.meshcore.io/2026/04/23/the-split for the unfortunately usual story of a community splitting apart because one person let greed and ego take over.

I'm currently on another project still fiddling with #reticulumnetwork settings for a #LoRa bridge into the Internet or #i2p So far I think for beginners on Android #columba is the easiest for 1:1 chatting https://github.com/torlando-tech/columba On desktop https://meshchatx.com/ which can show #nomadnet pages too, e.g. IRC style group chats And there is a first map showing #RNode https://rmap.world/

You don’t want these type of people in the radio community. For them everything is a brand which goes against the whole ethos of the community. I saw this same thing play out in the DMR community. #Meshcore

Oh what a day! Earlier today I managed to communicate via mesh networks with my friend @stereo@freiburg.social in Germany... some 400+ km away. It only took 6 hops... the third one in the chain was the iconic Jungfraujoch radio relay station (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungfraujoch_radio_relay_station) So exciting! I can't thank Ralf enough for his help with this... I would have been completely lost without his guidance. Let the fun mesh adventures begin! #mesh #MeshCommunication #MeshCore #MySoCalledSudoLife

@Revertron@zhub.link Haven't messed with #meshcore at all yet, though by the sounds of it, it's the superior option. However, it's not free and opensource, so probably not something I'm interested in investing in. I do plan on trying it out, at least.

Nachdem ich heute einen Repeater auf dem Balkon aufgebaut und eine Guteantenne (ein Wort!) aus 1,5m Kabelkanal und 16 Stücken NYM 1.5 dran gefrickelt habe, sehe ich einen Repeater in Saarbrücken. Yippe! Kein rumlungern am Bahnhof mehr. Ist mehr als provisorisch, aber geht erstmal einigermaßen leidlich durch das Tal.
