One thing is certain, the Sunderland East End skyline is going to change dramatically when the Lambton, Londonderry and Lumley Towers are finally demolished. It was last year that the announcement was made by Gentoo that the three blocks of flats would be bulldozed with repair costs of more than £15m needed for each block.
