Just for fun comparison. This shows the old version of the graphics compared to the new version of the graphics in the same spot of the Legacy character intro. The update is old news to a lot of us, but comparing it is a "wow, it changed so much..." moment. Better, smoother looking vegetation, and so much more of it, like the area closer to the camera. Note that the new one is recorded using an ultra wide screen resolution. #ffxiv

I've recorded two modern versions of the Legacy character version of the Gridania opening. This uses the new graphics and lighting in #FFXIV since the Dawntrail update. One video is using an aura variant of my character, and the other is my girl's traditional miqo'te. #ffxiv Switch 2 version did look interesting but a separate license fee kinda ruined that. By the sounds of it, that was the only compromise Nintendo would accept.

#ffxiv so the new evolved battle mode is optional for existing jobs, however it is also slightly stronger. The community is totally making that required. Wish they showed off more of the evolved mode though.

No spoilers. I still have the last cutscene to do, but I finally finished the Arcadion story in #FFXIV. The whole thing was /very/ well written and put together. And I had kind group members to rez me, which is always handy. #FF14 #FinalFantasyXIV #gamingonlinux

I figured I'd best run the #FFXIV Hatching-tide tonight as well, in case I can't use large screens tomorrow or something. The glamours are mostly *not* Ali's style, but I know my other Miqo'te and either my Aura or Lala would enjoy something whacky. But I got the Spriggan ones for Ali. Hatching-hide was her first FFXIV event and it was Spriggan-themed, so a little fun was fine. #FF14 #MMORPG #MMO
