One of our trucks went from $20,000 per year to $3000, JUST IN FUEL COSTS. Norway, population 5.6 Million. 1/3rd above the Arctic Circle, and heavily dependent on oil and gas from the North Sea. And yet, their new-car sales were at 94% EV in January. 98 diesel cars, 7 petrol(gasoline), 29 hybrids. The rest were EVs. 7 gas cars is wild! Battery Smart, a battery-swapping network for electric two- and three-wheelers, has kicked off its pre-Series C funding round with over US$ 7 million already invested: Acacia Inclusion led the round with Rs 36.3 crore, while Blume Ventures and PC-SBI Kurashi Visionary Fund also participated. I was intrigued by Rivian; thought I might look seriously at their smaller, more affordable SUV for those situations when i want more ruggedness than my Bolt delivers (for snow; logging roads in the Superior National Forest—use cases for 1 percent of my miles). @GreenFire@mstdn.social I’ll add: In USA gas was dirt cheap yesterday, & has been since the supply pinch of the post-Covid recovery. That will change very soon. But with recent cheap gas, there are killer deals out there now on lightly used EVs. It’s a great time to make the switch & stop funding the #OilyBoys. Especially if one can charge at home. My EV fuel costs <2 cents per mile when I home charge off-peak (which is 95 percent of the time). #EV #EVs #OilWar #GasPrices #NoMoreOilWars

Ola Electric slipped out of the top five electric two-wheeler makers in February after sales fell 47% month-on-month to 3,968 units: The company's market share dropped to 3.55%, down from over 35% in 2024.
