Seriously, if TMS were to let anyone do a "Spechal Collectors Edition" of CyberSix they should not only get the Soundtrack (without Sound Effects) on CD and add it in the package but also get the other ambient Soundtracks on it alongside a new recording of the "Full Lenght Theme"... Sun Piano by Laraaji, released on All Saints Records in 2020. Spiritual keyboard improvisations performed by Laraaji and recorded in a Brooklyn Church by Jeff Zeigler (Kurt Vile, The War On Drugs, Mary Lattimore). Sun Piano finds Laraaji fulfilling a lifelong ambition to return to his first instrument, learnt whilst growing up in 1950s New Jersey. I recently discovered a fascinating and terrifying project: The Caretaker - "Everywhere At The End Of Time". It’s a 6.5-hour audio simulation of a mind breaking down from dementia. It starts with clear 1920s ballroom music. But stage by stage, the memory "corrupts", turning into dark noise and emptiness. I highly recommend listening the full 6:30 hours to fully dive into this state (link below). Or listen album by album: try to memorize the clean melodies in Stage 1 so you can actually feel the pain when they break down later. It is a very heavy experience. Ended the week and welcomed the weekend with Cluster (also reissued as Cluster 71) is the debut studio album by German electronic music outfit Cluster. It was recorded in 1971 and released the same year by record label Philips. It is also the only album on which producer Conny Plank is credited as a member. The Wire placed Cluster's self-titled debut album in their list "One Hundred Records That Set the World on Fire". [and] wrote that Cluster "prefigures illbient by about 20 years, parts of it sounding uncannily like DJ Spooky", while crediting "patches of regular thudding thudding pulse" for conjuring up "a malformed techno". Ended Thursday and welcomed Friday after a walk with Persian Surgery Dervishes a recording of two live solo electric organ concerts, the first held in Los Angeles on 18 April 1971 and the second in Paris on 24 May 1972, by the avant-garde minimalist composer Terry Riley On Persian Surgery Dervishes Riley plays a Yamaha electric organ Andy Beta of Pitchfork explained: "With only an electric organ and Riley’s “time-lag” accumulator (a reel-to-reel that played back loops of his improvisations), Dervishes is four sides of oozing drones, percolating virtuosic soloing, and undulating waves of bliss.
