@anon_8675309@lemmy.world Never messed with #WSL, does it give you the capability run a full-on WM the way we could with #cygwin? I used to use it to run #enlightenment on my #Windows computer at work. @Obin@feddit.org

@themself@mastodon.scot @cstross@wandering.shop It is interesting that this is on the flavour of Windows, DOS+Windows, that was not even designed to have subsystems and personalities. That was Windows NT. Amusingly, the screenshot is not using the correct terminal type. @hailey@hails.org it's still the wrong way around: It's a #LinuxSubsystemForWindows (#LSW) not #WindowsSubsystemForLinux (#WSL) bevause that would be #Wine!
