Some variety of cornsalad, on a wall. Quite a lot of it, round and about, right now. One has appeared in our front garden as well. #WildflowerHour

This is simultaneously something I've seen many many times (in gardens) and never in my life (in the wild). It appears to be a perfectly normal Broad Bean, except it's not in an allotment or anywhere near one - it was by the pitch at Henley rugby ground. Highlight of our #wildflower searching this week were a few of the first flowers of Early Spider-orchid on the Purbeck coast. Very many more rosettes, spikes and buds yet to open up, so it was exciting to finally find a few flowers. This time last week, we couldn't find any. Soon there will be thousands. #WildflowerHour #orchids

Lesser celandines starting to flower in Dorset this week, glossy yellow like buttercups (which are closely related). Different number of petals on these two. #WildflowerHour #wildflowers

I almost never bother looking at daisies, but this only-slightly-bedraggled one was putting on a brave show. I was also quite pleased with the phone camera (which is nothing fancy but it came out not too badly) #WildflowerHour #wildflowers
