#fossil 📸 👉🏻 Inside the Natural History Museum in London, the skeleton of a Bradysaurus tells the story of how life first moved onto land. This early reptile represents a massive shift in history. To survive out of the water, it developed a strong skeleton to support its weight and waterproof skin to keep from drying out. It moved with a sprawling gait, using flexible wrist joints to navigate the terrain. Most importantly, it laid shelled eggs, allowing it to reproduce far away from the water. It is a humble-looking fossil, but it marks the very beginning of life on solid ground. It's the final #Caturday of what feels like the longest month of the year as we've pushed past the winter holiday season - but not the full blast of winter! Still, the kitties of the Patchwork Palace hope you're warm, safe, and find some fun. We'll be looking forward and preparing for our spring appearances! #Cat #Kitty #Cats #Kitties #Skelie #Skeleton #Holidays #Winter #Halloween
