Rooted in Cregennan - Drawing – Ink - Paint –on watercolour paper – 29x42cm – Linda Sgoluppi A sense of being held gathers in the ground. Weight settles and stays, carried within the same continuous surface, with incline, stone, and air a common presence. Slopes hold movement in their form, slows and spreads, guided by repeated contours. Light rests across uneven ground, touching different depths as it passes, drawing out no fixed variation. Space opens and closes with position, no clear beginning or end into the distance and back again through the same field of terrain. Playing with a simple growth pattern in today's #inkyDays drawing. I liked the colors, so I started one on watercolor paper. Then I smeared that, and ruined it. But I liked how the incomplete version looked, and decided to try again with an emphasis on the 'mistake'. And I rather like how this one is turning out.
