The Aseler Bridge (built between 1887 and 1890) has actually been submerged and hidden in Lake Eder since 1924.
During dry periods, which have become more frequent in recent years, Lake Eder experiences low water levels and many sunken relics, including the Aseler Bridge, reappear.
