According to BBC News, an emergency meeting will be held today to discuss inter alia, how the government can 'support families'. So, are we single pensioners being left to fend for ourselves yet again? #BadJournalism #BadEnglish

@alexadeswift@lgbtqia.space Something loosely associated with Ingrish... There is also a superfluity of commas in the copy. An old sub-editor mate of mine became a media studies lecturer at the local university. #BadEnglish was rampant amongst his students.

"Reform’s by-election candidate has been branded a “snowflake” who is "running scared" after dropping out of a hustings for the Gorton and Denton seat." Hustings is a plural noun. 🤦‍♂️ #BadEnglish #BadJournalism https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/reform-election-candidate-branded-snowflake-36703556

@distinctdipole@tech.lgbt My working life as a linguist means I have always been held to a high standard in my native language. #BadEnglish can equate with no more work. Both my parents left their one room village schools in #Norfolk at 14 in the 1940s. *They* wrote and spoke English of a higher standard than some today are capable of.
