This week's #TuneTuesday theme is #ImplodeOrExplode, and I had to go with The Gap Band's 'You Dropped a Bomb on Me' from 1982. I've heard this song all over the place for much of my life, as I was born in 1980. I never get tired of hearing this one. So much thick funk.

In addition to the single release, it was included on the band's sixth album, Gap Band IV (1982). It reached No. 2 on the US #Billboard #HotBlackSingles chart, No. 39 on the Billboard #DanceDiscoTop80, and No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2022.
