Wasn't aware until recently that Economy 7 electricity meters are synced using a longwave #Radio4 signal transmitted from Droitwich (#RTS). Loving the idea that this service is time-limited by a single banal condition. As Wikipedia puts it: "n October 2011, the BBC stated that the Droitwich transmitter ... will cease to operate when one of the last two valves breaks, and no effort would be made to manufacture more nor to install a replacement longwave transmitter." 😱 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_teleswitch

#BBC #Radio4 has been "Now Playing: Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross" all afternoon and evening according to the DAB radio display. I'll have to check if that was one of this morning's castaway's 8 discs.

How quaint, Justin Webb, presenting #BBC #Radio4's Today Programme, still thinks President Donald Tantrump can be reined in by Republican losses at the mid-term elections in November this year. Why does he think #TyrantTrump will allow the mid-terms to take place if there is a risk that he will lose them? #R4Today #NoKings #GOP #MAGA #Trump #Krasnov #USpol #UScoup https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live/bbc_radio_fourfm
