@cascheranno@hachyderm.io @RegGuy@mstdn.social that model has been established: #mamdani corporate centrist dems fought him in the #primaries. people showed up anyways then they positioned cuomo in the general. people showed up anyways now we have mamdani BECAUSE PEOPLE FUCKING VOTED so the model? fucking show up and #vote! get in real leftists! especially the #primaries people whining that centrist dems suck doesn't mean shit. it's a red herring. it's a self-defeating whine ignore centrists and replace them

@ErikUden@mastodon.de the #democrats fucking suck but remember: we're stuck in 2 party because we are a shitty #FPTP voting system 3rd party in our system divides the left #vote and helps #MAGA win (we can fix that with ranked choice voting... that's a whole other post) so we are stuck with one way forward: take over the democrats how? we have #primaries coming up and this is your chance to replace your spineless #democrat turd rep with a real leftist mob the primaries what did #mamdani teach us?

@QasimRashid@mastodon.social Qasim is right about the #DemocraticParty establishment But I want to underline an important point: "I won't #vote until centrist #Democrats magically turn left" is not a coherent position What you do is you vote, in the #primaries, and replace them They won't change. *You* have to vote Not voting merely means they get worse, and #MAGA wins Low voter turnout from the left helped them become as they are today You have to vote IN THE PRIMARIES What did #Mamdani teach us?
