We are experiencing significant Advection Fog (I think that's the proper term) here in balmy Belle Ewart. Closer to the lake it is thick enough to block out any view of the shore and roads snaking up the coast are disappearing. Heavy snow cover meets +12•C and steady wind. #meteorology

The official cost of the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina in the United States, Cuba, and the Bahamas in 2005 was $125 billion. Katrina was a Category 5 hurricane, killed 1,392 people, reached speeds of 280 km/h, which resulted in 80% of New Orleans being flooded. #Meteorology
