Non ci sono stati feriti fra i nostri connazionali. Alcune persone hanno cercato di entrare in Oman ma ora le autorità stanno chiudendo la frontiere e quindi molti stanno preferendo restare a Dubai, dove consigliamo di restare. Stiamo assistendo tutti gli italiani nelle altre parti del Medio Oriente e anche quelli che dovevano viaggiare su voli di ritorno soprattutto dalle Maldive attraverso Dubai", ha aggiunto. Il ministro ha assicurato che "non ci sono nè militari nè civili coinvolti in qualche modo così come a Teheran. Continuiamo a seguire la situazione. C'è stato un attacco nel Kurdistan iracheno dove ci sono militari americani e italiani ma non c'è alcun rischio". Così il ministro degli Esteri, Antonio Tajani, nel corso di un punto stampa alla Farnesina.
