A new rail station at #Deeside Parkway is set to strengthen links between North East #Wales and Liverpool, improving access to Deeside Industrial Estate, one of Europe’s largest employment sites, and easing pressure on local roads. During a visit to the proposed site, Transport Secretary Ken Skates said the project forms part of a £14bn rail investment backed by the #Welsh Government and #UK Government. The station will enhance connections to Liverpool’s jobs and education centres, the Port of #Liverpool and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, supporting cross-border commuting and inward #investment. Planned for completion as early as 2027, the scheme will use a modular approach to speed up delivery.
