@petrillic@hachyderm.io Worse is when you have folks in other juristictions use a "non-license" that isn't legally accepted like "#PublicDomain". #0BSD is by far the most permissible for #Software, but #licensing may have good reasons for beibg chosen.#CC0 is the closest to "public domain" (except the authorship disavowal part) for creative works (incl. writing)I'm not a lawyer and AFAIK there's only #downstream forward compatibility for #copyleft, so yeah, not easy if impossible!

Made a new thing. ZeroClock - time tracker with invoicing. Runs off a single SQLite file on your machine. No accounts, no cloud, nothing phoning home. Nobody else sees your data. Completely free, not "free tier" free. Portable, CC0 public domain, WCAG 2.2 AAA accessible from the ground up. No VC money, no subscription, no catch. Whether you freelance or just want to know where your hours go, give it a look. https://apps.lashman.live/zeroclock/ #OpenSource #CC0 #FOSS #GetFediHired #A11y

@autonomysolidarity@todon.eu I liked this poster so much the last time I saw it make the rounds that I recreated it. Here's a link to a 300dpi TIFF suitable for printing your own: https://cloud.sbcloud.cc/s/8j5sbMp97ZLzg65 SVG available upon request. #CC0
