“sit”, the modern Unix-based StuffIt archive creation tool, has been updated with a few bug fixes:
- better support for special characters, so you can include “Work ƒ” or “Project.π“ or “Business®App™” and preserve those names when expanding.
- names containing a slash could not be expanded on classic Mac OS
- never overwrite an existing file; if “archive.sit” exists then create “archive-1.sit” instead, and so on.
