A follow-up to my sock saga. I ended up ordering these Danish Endurance brand cycling socks. They aren't exactly what I was looking for, but I plan to give them a try. They have cushioning in the toe area but not really any cushioning or support in the heel. (It is quite difficult for me to gauge socks without looking at them in a shop.) But I am willing to see whether they prove comfortable as 'formal' socks that will both stay up on the lower calf and not bunch up in the toe area, as well as provide some support for my aching feet.
