#Egypt's greatest ruling queen, #Pharaoh #Hatshepsut, died on #ThisDayInHistory in 1458 BCE. She started as regent but usurped the throne & held it for 21 years, during which she expanded foreign trade & kept the peace. Her #FuneraryTemple is one of the finest of the #NewKingdom.
