If we don't go down now something is wrong. This #FCSP doesn't deserve a third season in the Bundesliga. Nothing points to anything else. Restart in the second league. But that is dangerous, could lead to third league. Coach won't stay. Wonder who will. St. Pauli is the only possibility, but one has to accept when the quality is just too low.

That's more like it. Two chances since halftime. #FCSP is trying. Not scoring, though.

Okay, the games so far really didn't go for #FCSP - and that's not surprising. We needed those points and missing them is going to hurt us badly. Congratulations to Freiburg, who are now safe, and Augsburg, who are nearly safe. Mainz can be safe tomorrow - but the way the games went I expect them to lose and make the distance to safety for @fcstpauli@mstdn.social five points. Basically, even if we win all games that are left relegation battles will be the maximum I expect. If we lose even one, I expect us to drop down straight.

Eight minutes of extra time. #FCSP has some time still, but so does Cologne. Both would prefer a win, Cologne can live a bit more with the draw.

Subs for #FCSP coming on. Manos for Lars, Arik will move to the left. And yet another throw-in for the boys in brown. Cleared to a corner.

Ooof. Bad passes by #FCSP caused two really good setups by Cologne, and at the end Said El-Mala slams it on the crossbar. Lucky us. Plus, there was a handball appeal by Cologne, but the ball went from an @fcstpauli@mstdn.social clearance on a non-stretched arm in a distance of less than a meter... ref waved it off.

Cologne is not seeing much of the ball anymore now and #FCSP is just lacking one thing - as always: The márk. There were chances but two saves, one had to be perfect, stopped the rewards for the effort.

How to destroy a good first half, in motion. #FCSP.down one after being one up after a good first half. A tie would've been worthless either way. But losing like this is absolute trash. Offside! At least still tied. But win is still a must!

And #FCSP escapes the third one, Gladbach hits the post, again Frank Honorat.

Starting 11 by #FCSP is showing that Eric is moved up, Hauke, Tomoya and Adam as center backs, Lars on the left wing back, Arik moves back to right wing back. Midfield is filled with Captain Jackson and Joel, up front Mathias P. and Danel. Niko in goal, of course. Solid. Maybe David can get some playtime for Adam later in the game! He's on benck, as are Andreas, Louis and Mathias R.

The second player of the gameday by #FCSP was for 11Freunde: Joel. Because it is impossible to look at this picture for more than 30 seconds and not be in a good mood - according to them. And that's one heck of a compliment.

Niko was - of course - the goalie for the Kicker 11 of the gameday, but 11Freunde picked two #FCSP players for THEIR 11 of the gameday, starting with Mathias and a (German) pun about his last name:

Six wins out of 10 games sounds like a lot for #FCSP to achieve. However, in these 10 games, they face 8 teams outside of the European League spots and only two, Bayern and Red Bull, who are on Champions League course - and they already tied Red Bull once this season and lost against Bayern in extra time only. With Mainz, Heidenheim, Gladbach, Cologne and Volkswagen @fcstpauli@mstdn.social actually face five direct opponents for the bottom three spots, and Frankfurt, Union and Freiburg are not on track for European glory, either, but rather in nothingness or even at risk to drop. Nothing is secure, but this is doable, and if we fail, we kinda deserve it seeing what we're up against.

Frankfurt, Gladbach, Freiburg, Union - the next four games are crucial again for #FCSP. The fifth, at home versus Champions and secured Champions this season Bayern Munich is comparatively more relaxing - nobody expects anything from that. But if @fcstpauli@mstdn.social can take six points from the next four games we'd be well on track.

After the loss by Volkswagen to Stuttgart #FCSP is now 3 points and 3 goals away from direct relegation. However, only one point away from the relegation duel spot. Frankfurt next week at the Millerntor - who play Freiburg right now.

Niko Vasilj is booked for "team of the gameday", nine saves from direct shots on target. #FCSP has a fantastic keeper.

Oh, Schulle is the coach of Osnabrück? Nice to see that he's working, and successfully, beating Aue away 1-3 today. #FCSP cannot forget Schulle, he's too much part of our history.

How important this win is can be seen at the table - Gladbach won, Werder won, Mainz tied. If Stuttgart beats Volkswagen tomorrow, #FCSP will be three points ahead of the direct relegation - but only one from relegation duels. Next weekend #FCSP meets Frankfurt at home - a win would put a lot of pressure on the competing clubs, which currently is a good six others - it's competitive and that's all that matters right now!

Almost done with half-time. #FCSP lead and this would be a BIG win. However, 45 minutes to go and SAP has very good company players. Let's see. Niko seems to come back, as well - he got hit in the face and nose earlier and was bleeding.
