Helsinki Times - Helsinki Times | Payment defaults in Finland rise towards peak levels The number of people registered with payment defaults in Finland has risen to more than 385,000, bringing the total close to the highest level on record, according to new data released for the first quarter of 2026. Figures compiled by credit data firm Asiakastieto show an increase of about 12,000 individuals compared with the same period last year. At the end of March 2026, the total stood slightly above 385,000, up from around 373,000 a year earlier.
